COLIN'S TEETH SUCK

This is an old story for those who've known me. My teeth suck. I've had to have 5 teeth extracted, almost every tooth has a filling with several root canals, and I now have 3 crowns.The core cause was being given frequent rounds of amoxicillin as a child. This caused pitting in the enamel of my permanent teeth. Further exacerbated by not being able to afford dental insurance for a while.So what's this got to do with now?Like a lot of people, I recently lost my unemployment. And I just started college classes. So my funds are stretched thin. And I'm already trying to pay off an crown I had to get a few months ago.The insurance I have right now doesn't cover crowns.On very first day of classes (Sept 20), I felt something weird on the tooth right behind my left canine. When trying to feel if it was a cavity, half the tooth just fell free. No pain or anything. Just a huge chunk with a big black metal filling attached.My dentist told me that it's a common issue with those teeth with metal fillings. There was no cavity (for once), and not caused by anything I did. Just the eventual outcome of such a large filling putting too much stress on vulnerable tooth.So now I have to find a way to pay off a new $1400 charge with no income.

Paid Requests

With school I don't have the time or focus for full commissions. But I don't feel comfortable asking for just outright donations. So I am opening paid requests.Basically, with your donation you include a prompt, request, suggestion, etc. I work on it an amount of time appropriate to the amount given, with no formal expectations of the final product. Think of it as a commission grab-bag.If you provide contact details, I will send you a full res version. Otherwise I will post a low res to tumblr and twitter.

I dunno, I just draw stuff.

At least that's my tagline everywhere. I'm an artist based just outside of Portland, OR. I primarily draw comics that I publish digitally for free, but I'm sometimes paid to color them for other people.
I'm over an over 30 transman, and I'm very slowly getting my life back together.
Currently, I'm studying web design at a local community college.
